Release Hypnosis Celebrates 11 Years
Release Hypnosis Celebrates 11 Years this month, and if I’m honest, eleven feels different to ten.
Ten felt like a milestone. Eleven feels like resilience.
When I first started Release Hypnosis, I never imagined I would still be here over a decade later. What began as a moment of intuition — signing up for a hypnotherapy course after realising something in my own life needed to change — has grown into eleven years of helping people create change in theirs.
And in a world that feels increasingly uncertain, that feels worth celebrating.
Release Hypnosis Celebrates Resilience
The past year has felt, in many ways, like business as usual. Yet the world around us is shifting.
- More divisiveness.
- More job uncertainty.
- Greater cost-of-living pressure.
- More anxiety and stress.
And when anxiety increases, coping strategies increase too. Some are helpful. Some become habitual. Some quietly turn into compulsions or addictions.
Release Hypnosis Celebrates resilience — not just in surviving eleven years as a practice, but in helping people develop the inner resilience to navigate an increasingly complex world.
Our aim remains simple: to help people break free from anxiety, stress, and destructive habits as quickly as possible — and equip them with strategies that serve them well beyond the therapy room.
Release Hypnosis Celebrates Recovery
Over the last year, my work has become even more focused on compulsive behaviours and substance use disorders.
Particularly working with men who feel trapped by habits around adult content, substance use, gambling, or other repetitive coping mechanisms. Often high-functioning. Often carrying it quietly. Often deeply frustrated with themselves.
Release Hypnosis Celebrates recovery — not perfection, not shame — but recovery of control, recovery of self-respect, and recovery of choice.
Because addiction is often an attempt to regulate anxiety, loneliness, or overwhelm. When better internal regulation is built, the compulsion begins to lose its grip.
Release Hypnosis Celebrates Courage
This year alone:
- A man in his 70s who had carried a lifelong fear of heights walked across a dam that once terrified him — six times — and stopped to enjoy the view. Previously, he couldn’t sit in the top stand at the MCG.
- A client who had lived with shy bladder for decades completed a long-haul flight to London without fear.
- Numerous clients discovered that they could experience their old problem in a new way — and feel freedom as a result.
Release Hypnosis Celebrates courage — because walking into a therapy room (or logging into an online session) is an act of courage.
It is the decision to say: “I don’t want to live like this anymore.”
From Melbourne to the World
Whether in person on St Kilda Rd (Melbourne 3004) or online, the work continues.
Technology has made support more accessible than ever. And in times of global stress and uncertainty, flexible access to tools that build psychological resilience matters.
Release Hypnosis Celebrates accessibility — meeting people where they are.
