There are so many factors that could contribute to it too. I have a couple of cats who don’t always get along, and so I feel the need to have the door open so that one of my furkids (named Sambuca) can come and cuddle up to me and be safe. This often means that I am being woken at all times of the night though, either from a small black animal wanting attention or from breaking up a fight.
